My friend Sajjad and I were sitting at the railway station. I came to see him off. Sajjad was going to Dhaka to his elder sister’s house. It was very crowded in the station. There was a long line of people at the ticket counter. A woman was standing in the queue. She was holding her child’s hand tightly. A group of young people was talking loudly and drinking tea in front of a tea stall. An old couple was trying to find a quiet place to sit down and rest. The waiting room was crowded, too. I saw a man who was trying to carry three heavy suitcases. A young lady was sitting on a bench with her luggage at one corner. She was reading a magazine.
অনুবাদ: আমার বন্ধু সাজ্জাদ এবং আমি রেল স্টেশনে বসেছিলাম। আমি তাকে বিদায় জানাতে এসেছিলাম। সাজ্জাদ ঢাকায় তার বড় বোনের বাসায় যাচ্ছিল। স্টেশনে খুব ভিড় ছিল। টিকেট কাউন্টারে লোকজনের লম্বা লাইন ছিল। একজন মহিলা লাইনে দাঁড়িয়ে ছিলেন। তিনি তার বাচ্চার হাত শক্ত করে ধরেছিলেন। একদল যুবক একটি চায়ের দোকানের সামনে জোরে জোরে কথা বলছিল এবং চা পান করছিল। এক বৃদ্ধ দম্পতি বসার ও বিশ্রামের জন্যে একটি নিরিবিলি জায়গা খুঁজে পাওয়ার চেষ্টা করছিলেন। অপেক্ষা করার ঘরটিও ছিল জনাকীর্ণ। আমি একজন লোককে দেখলাম যিনি তিনটি ভারী সুটকেস বহনের চেষ্টা করছিলেন। এক কোণায় একজন তরুণী তার মালপত্র পাশে রেখে বেঞ্চে বসেছিল। সে একটা ম্যাগাজিন পড়ছিল।
My friend and I stood near a newspaper stall talking and watching the crowd around. Soon my friend’s train started to leave. As the train whistled, he picked up his suitcase and we said goodbye to each other.
অনুবাদ: আমার বন্ধু ও আমি একটি সংবাদপত্রের দোকানের কাছে দাঁড়িয়ে কথা বলছিলাম এবং আশেপাশের ভিড় দেখছিলাম। শীঘ্রই আমার বন্ধুর ট্রেনটি চলতে শুরু করল। যখন ট্রেনের বাঁশি বাজল, সে তার সুটকেস তুলে নিল এবং আমরা একে অপরকে বিদায় জানালাম।

Then he found a man trying to carry three heavy bags. He saw a young lady sitting at the corner and reading a magazine. He and his friend were just talking and watching the crowd around. At last, when his friend’s train was about to leave, he bade him good bye.
স্টেশনে বর্তা তার বন্ধুকে বিদায় জানাতে গিয়েছিলেন। তিনি স্টেশনটি জনাকীর্ণ পেলেন। তিনি টিকেট কাউন্টারের সামনে লোকজনের একটা লম্বা লাইন দেখলেন। লাইনে দাঁড়ানো একজন মহিলা তার বাচ্চাকে শক্ত করে ধরেছিলেন। তিনি একদল যুবককে একটি চায়ের দোকানের সামনে কথা বলতে ও চা পান করতেও দেখলেন। এক বৃদ্ধ দম্পতি বিশ্রামের জন্যে একটি নিরিবিলি স্থান খুঁজছিলেন। তারপর তিনি একজন লোককে তিনটি ভারী ব্যাগ বহনের চেষ্টা করতে দেখলেন। তিনি একজন তরুণীকে এক কোণে বসে একটা ম্যাগার্জিন পড়তে দেখলেন। তিনি ও তার বন্ধু শুধু কথা বলছিলেন এবং আশেপাশের ভিড় দেখছিলেন। অবশেষে, যখন তার বন্ধুর ট্রেন ছাড়তে যাচ্ছিল, তিনি তাকে বিদায় জানালেন।

Ans: My friend and I were in a shopping centre. We were waiting for another friend of us. The shopping centre was very crowded. It was before Eid. There was a huge crowd before a shop which offered 50% discount on each product. A woman was shouting at her son as he was moving to and fro. A group of young people was laughing loudly and eating chips in front of a pizza shop. A young couple was quarrelling but the crowd muffled their voices. I saw a TV model whom some people crowded around. He was trying to save himself. A young lady was eagerly trying to get an autograph. We sat in a coffee shop and ordered coffee. At last, when our friend came, we went shopping for Eid amongst the crowd.
আমার বন্ধু ও আমি একটি শপিং সেন্টারের ভেতরে ছিলাম। আমরা আমাদের আরেক বন্ধুর অপেক্ষায় ছিলাম। শপিং সেন্টারটি খুবই জনাকীর্ণ ছিল। এটি ছিল ঈদের আগে। যে দোকানটিতে প্রত্যেক পণ্যের ওপর শতকরা পঞ্চাশ ভাগ মূল্যছাড় দিয়েছিল সেটির সামনে বিশাল ভিড় ছিল। একজন মহিলা তার ছেলেকে ধমক দিচ্ছিলেন কারণ সে এদিক ওদিক যাচ্ছিল। একদল তরুণ একটি পিৎজার দোকানের সামনে জোরে জোরে হাসছিল এবং চিপস খাচ্ছিল। এক তরুণ দম্পতি ঝগড়া করছিলেন কিন্তু ভিড়ে তাদের কণ্ঠস্বর চাপা পড়েছিল। আমি একজন টিভি মডেলকে দেখলাম যাকে কিছু লোক ঘিরে ছিল। তিনি নিজেকে বাঁচানোর চেষ্টা করছিলেন। একজন তরুণী একটি অটোগ্রাফ নেওয়ার আপ্রাণ চেষ্টা করছিল। আমরা একটা কফির দোকানে বসলাম এবং কফির অর্ডার দিলাম। অবশেষে, যখন আমাদের বন্ধু আসল, আমরা ভিড়ের মধ্যে দিয়ে ঈদের জন্যে কেনাকাটা করতে গেলাম।
