Land of our Birth, we pledge to thee
Our love and toil in the years to be;
When we are grown and take our place,
As men and women, with our race.
Father in Heaven, who lovest all,
Oh help Thy children when they call;
That they may build from age to age,
An undefiled heritage.
Teach us to bear the yoke in youth,
With steadfastness and careful truth;
That, in our time, Thy Grace may give
The Truth whereby the Nations live.
Teach us to rule ourselves alway,
Controlled and cleanly night and day;

বাংলা অর্থঃ
আমাদের জন্মভূমি, শপথ করি তোমার নামে;
আমার সকল ভালবাসা ভবিষ্যতের শ্রম ও ঘামে,
যখন আমরা বড় হব এবং নিজের স্থান নেব,
মানুষ হিসেবে, আমাদের জাতির সঙ্গে।
স্বর্গে আছেন বিশ্বপিতা, ভালবাসেন সবায় যিনি;
মোদের ডাকে যোগ্য সারা নিশ্চিতই দেবেন তিনি।
যেন মোরা গড়তে পারি ইতিহাসের প্রান্ত সীমায়
নতুন কোন চিহ্ন কিছু আত্মবিকাশেরই ধারায়।
আমাদের শেখাও যৌবনে দায়িত্ব বহন করতে,
স্থিরতা এবং যত্নবান সত্যের সঙ্গে।
যাতে আমাদের সময়ে তোমার কৃপায় আমরা পেতে পারি
সেই সত্য, যার দ্বারা জাতি বাঁচে।
আমাদের শেখাও নিজেদের সর্বদা শাসন করতে,
রাত্রি ও দিনে নিয়ন্ত্রিত এবং বিশুদ্ধ থাকতে।
যাতে প্রয়োজন হলে আমরা উপস্থাপন করতে পারি,
কোনো বিকৃত বা মূল্যহীন ত্যাগ নয়।
আমাদের শেখাও আমাদের সব কাজের শেষ দিকে তাকাতে,
তোমাকে বিচারক হিসেবে দেখতে, আমাদের বন্ধুদের নয়।
যাতে আমরা তোমার সঙ্গে নির্ভীকভাবে চলতে পারি,
ভয়ের বা জনতার পক্ষপাতিত্বের দ্বারা নয়।
আমাদের শেখাও সেই শক্তি যা খোঁজে না,
কর্ম বা চিন্তায় দুর্বলকে আঘাত করতে।
যাতে তোমার অধীনে আমরা পেতে পারি
মানুষের শক্তি, যা মানুষের দুঃখ দূর করে।
আমাদের শেখাও সাধারণ জিনিসে আনন্দ পেতে,
এবং হাসি যা কোনো তিক্ততার উৎস নয়।
ক্ষমা, যা মন্দ কাজের জন্য মুক্ত।
