Dear audience.
Today we are here to talk about specific angle of a very vital issue the environment pollution. And I would like to draw your attention to the direct linkage between land pollution and water pollution.
If we think deeply, we can easily find that land pollution leads to water pollution. If we try to find out the main causes of water pollution, we find land pollution as one of those.
We pollute land by throwing various types of waste and garbage. And the pollutants that pollute land are eventually washed away by rains or any other water flow. Then these fall into various water sources like ponds, lakes, canals, rivers etc. Thus land pollution leads to water pollution.
We also find that the pollutants that pollute land may damage the sewerage system and ultimately get mixed with water sources through this system. It is also an ocular fact that proves the direct link between land pollution and water pollution.
It is high time we took initiatives to prevent all kinds of pollution. And to do so we have to identify the root causes of these pollutions. As it is clear to us now that land pollution is one of the main causes for water pollution, we at first try to prevent land pollution if we want to prevent water pollution. It is no denying that preventing land pollution will help us prevent water pollution to a great extent. In fine, I would like to urge you all to be aware of land and water pollution and to hit upon a plan how we can escape these serious pollutions.
I hope that if we can be well strategic in our work-plan, we are sure to prevent these pollutions. If we prevent or control land pollution successfully, water pollution will automatically be reduced or controlled to some or a great extent.

আজ আমরা এখানে অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটি বিষয় পরিবেশ দূষনের একটি বিশেষ দিক নিয়ে আলোচনা করছি। আর আমি ভূমি দূষণ ও পানি দূষণের মধ্যকার প্রত্যক্ষ সম্পর্কের বিষয়ে আপনাদের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করতে চাই।
আমরা যদি একটু গভীরভাবে ভাবি, তাহলে আমরা মুহূর্তেই দেখতে পাব যে ভূমি দূষণ পানি দূষণ ঘটায়। আমরা যদি পানি দূষণের প্রধান কারণগুলো খুঁজে বের করতে চেষ্টা করি, তাহলে আমরা ভূমি দূষণকে এর অন্যতম কারণ হিসেবে পাব।
আমরা বিভিন্ন ধরনের বর্জ্য ও আবর্জনা ফেলে ভূমিকে দূষিত করি। এবং যেসব দূষক ভূমিকে দূষিত করে শেষমেষ সেগুলো বৃষ্টিপাত বা অন্য জলপ্রবাহের মাধ্যমে ভেসে যায়। তারপর এগুলো পানির নানান উৎস যেমন- পুকুর, হ্রদ, খাল, নদী ইত্যাদিতে পতিত হয়। এভাবে ভূমি দূষণ পানি দূষণ ঘটায়।
আমরা এও দেখি যে, যেসব দূষক জমিকে দূষিত করে সেগুলো পয়:নিষ্কাষণ ব্যবস্থাকে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করে এবং অবশেষে এই ব্যবস্থার মাধ্যমেই পানির উৎসগুলোর সাথে মিশে যায়। এটাও একটা চাক্ষুস ঘটনা যা ভূমি দূষণ ও পানি দূষণের মধ্যে প্রত্যক্ষ যোগসূত্র প্রমান করে।
সবধরনের দূষণ প্রতিরোধে ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণের জন্য এটাই আমাদের উপযুক্ত সময়। আর এটা করতে হলে আমাদেরকে এসব দূষণের মূল কারণগুলো সনাক্ত করতে হবে। যেহেতু এটা এখন আমাদের কাছে পরিষ্কার যে, ভূমি দূষণ পানি দূষণের অন্যতম প্রধান কারণ, তাই আমরা যদি পানি দূষণ প্রতিরোধ করতে চাই তাহলে প্রথমেই আমাদেরকে ভূমি দূষণ প্রতিরোধের চেষ্টা করতে হবে। এটা অস্বীকার করার উপায় নেই যে ভূমি দূষণ প্রতিরোধ পানি দূষণ প্রতিরোধে অনেকাংশে সহযোগিতা করবে।
পরিশেষে, আমি আপনাদের সকলকে ভূমি ও পানি দূষণ সম্পর্কে সচেতন হতে এবং এসব দূষণ থেকে কিভাবে পরিত্রাণ পাওয়া যায় সে সম্পর্কে পরিকল্পনা করার জন্য বিনীত অনুরোধ জানাতে চাই। আশা করি, আমরা যদি আমাদের কর্ম পরিকল্পনায় যথাযথ কৌশলী হই তাহলে আমরা নিশ্চয়ই এসব দূষণ প্রতিরোধ করতে পারব। আমরা যদি সফলভাবে ভূমি দূষণ নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারি তাহলে পানি দূষণও স্বাভাবিকভাবেই কিছু অংশে বা অনেকাংশে হ্রাস পাবে রা নিয়ন্ত্রণে আসবে।।

In this poster a mother duck is seen walking along with its little kids. The lake seems to be filled with dirt and trash. It discourages the duck swimming in the lake. So instead of swimming with its kids, it is going away. (এই ছবিতে একটি মা হাঁসকে তার ছোট বাচ্চাসহ হ্রদের ধারে হাঁটতে দেখা যাচ্ছে। হ্রদটিকে ময়লা ও আবর্জনায় পূর্ণ দেখা যাচ্ছে। এটি হ্রদে হাঁসের সাঁতার কাটা নিরুৎসাহিত করছে। তাই বাচ্চাদেরকে নিয়ে সাঁতার কাটার বদলে এটা চলে যাচ্ছে।)

In this poster an underwater scenery is seen. Lots of trashes like a single piece of worn out shoe, a rejected tyre etc are seen. It disturbs the wildlife under water. The fish here looks seriously endangered. Myself: You see, there are captions with all the posters. And these warn us about water pollution and its dreadful consequences. (তুমি দেখ, সবগুলো পোস্টারের সাথে পরিচয়লিপি দেয়া আছে। আর এগুলো আমাদেরকে পানি দূষণ ও এর ভয়ানক পরিণতি সম্পর্কে সতর্ক করছে।) Friend :hat means the posters are for raising awareness about the dangers of water pollution especially for the aquatic animals. Myself: I like this most because it is the most touching. You see that due to severe pollution, aquatic animals are dying out. And you also look at the caption. It expresses the urge of the endangered animals to human beings. And the caption is very true and practical. (এটা আমার সবচেয়ে ভালো লেগেছে কেননা এটা সবচেয়ে মর্মস্পর্শী। তুমি দেখ, মারাত্মক দূষণের ফলে জলচর প্রাণীরা মারা যাচ্ছে। আর তুমি পরিচয়লিপিটা দেখ। এটা মানব জাতির কাছে সংকটাপন্ন জলচর প্রাণীকূলের আকুতি প্রকাশ করছে। এবং পরিচয়লিপিটা খুবই সত্যি এবং বাস্তবিক।)
