1.1 Look, listen and say the words. দেখো, শোনো এবং শব্দগুলো বলো।
father – বাবা, student – শিক্ষার্থী, tiger – বাঘ, table – টেবিল;
2.1 Read the words aloud. শব্দগুলো জোরে জোরে পড়ো।
father – বাবা

5.1 Look at the pictures. Discuss in pairs about the numbers marked on the banknotes. ছবিগুলো দেখো। জোড়ায় জোড়ায় নোটে লেখা সংখ্যাগুলো নিয়ে আলোচনা করো।
These are Bangladeshi banknotes. এগুলো বাংলাদেশের টাকা (নোট)।

5.2 Read the text. লেখাটি পড়ো।
Many people in our country work in different factories. আমাদের দেশের অনেক মানুষ বিভিন্ন কারখানায় কাজ করে।
They work hard for their living. তারা জীবিকা নির্বাহের জন্য কঠোর পরিশ্রম করে।
Riad is one of them. রিয়াদ তাদের একজন।
He works in a jute factory. সে একটি পাটকলের কারখানায় কাজ করে।
550 people work in the factory. কারখানাটিতে ৫৫০ জন মানুষ কাজ করে।
Riad received his first salary in January. রিয়াদ জানুয়ারি মাসে তার প্রথম বেতন পায়।

5.3 Discuss the following questions in pairs. নিচের প্রশ্নগুলো জোড়ায় জোড়ায় আলোচনা করো।
